Lucian Balan

Dr. Lucian Balan is a full-time assistant professor in the School of Engineering Technology at McMaster University. His primary responsibilities are teaching engineering and technology courses in the Automotive and Vehicle Technology stream of the Bachelor of Technology Partnership Program. He also supervises numerous student groups in the 4-th year capstone projects throughout their initial project inception and design phase to their final project implementations. He is listed on the Dean's Teaching Honour Roll 2014 as one of the top 20 instructors in the Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Balan has significant experience both in industry and academia. He was an instructor, teaching assistant, and research assistant for seven years at the McMaster University and Mohawk College. He was also involved in design of various industrial engineering projects. Lucian Balan's expertise relates to CAD Design, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, and Manufacturing applied to the automotive field.
